DUSTIN R. SWANSON
Dustin advises companies and individuals in a wide range of industries in the Northwest with their business and tax planning needs. Dustin’s practice encompasses general corporate matters as well as a wide array of issues associated with negotiating and structuring asset, equity, and debt transactions. He also regularly assists tax-exempt organizations with governance and other considerations and clients involved in tax-dispute matters at the federal, state, and local level. Before co-founding Neilson, Swanson, Dietrich, PLLC, Dustin worked in two of the largest Portland law firms and a boutique business law firm.
Dustin was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and moved to Missoula at the age of 4. He enjoys traveling with his wife, young daughter, and two dogs, camping, fishing, skiing, mountain biking, watching and playing sports, and going to local music events.
Dustin graduated with distinction with a B.A. in History from Cornell University. He then obtained a J.D. with honors from the University of Montana before obtaining his L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida - Frederick G. Levin College of Law.
